My Story
A love that continues to blossom…
Welcome to the Fleuratorium!
My name is Vickie and my happy place has always been amongst plants, ever since I was a young girl in my grandmothers' gardens. From borders bursting with colour and texture, to rows of statuesque dahlias in amongst the wildflowers, I’d lose myself in nature. I remembered each and every name of the blooms growing around me. One particular memory stands out: playing beneath a specimen magnolia tree in the humidity of Singapore, where I was born, and simply taking in its beautiful perfume. This fragrance still evokes positive memories for me.
I now find floral design to be the perfect creative antidote to the technology that drives my career. I’m a self confessed floraholic. I’ve long harboured an ambition to create beautiful arrangements from the flowers grown in my garden, and although my garden is not yet productive enough to sustain my appetite for flowers, I regularly fill my family home with creations. Now, working closely with local flower farmers has given me the opportunity to meet like-minded people who share my passion for the environment and who are supporting me to realise my dream.
From my workshop in West Sussex, the best quality, locally sourced British flowers are chosen to make up the designs that you commission. Using the picks of the season, I work with you every step of the way, making sure that the vision in your head comes alive in a perfectly crafted, bespoke bouquet. It's not just a matter of coordination, but the meanings behind the blooms chosen, that create the whole story.
